ISSUES
PRIORITIZING PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST
Public safety will always be my first priority! Corpus Christi is blessed to have amazing law enforcement officers, firefighters, and other first responders who put their lives on the line daily for our safety. I believe it’s time for us to return the favor.

I will ensure that we fully support our law enforcement and first responders, paying them what they deserve and providing the equipment they need to keep Corpus Christi families safe.

NO MORE TAX INCREASES
When it comes to the city budget, my stance is clear:
-
Prioritize important public safety and city needs first
-
Fix what we have instead of raising taxes
-
Stop Growing Our Debt
Corpus Christi is growing and City Council is operating with the largest budget in our city’s history. I will be a champion for your tax dollars, making sure we focus on the core needs of our city: public safety, infrastructure, and water. We must grow our city—not our debt and do so without raising taxes. You can count on me to be the steady hand guiding us toward a bright future!

A ROBUST LOCAL ECONOMY
I will work with business and community leaders to unleash our economic potential in Corpus Christi. We must ensure a friendly business environment while giving local companies real consideration for contracts and development. This will keep our money in town while getting the best deal for our city.
Finally, we have to create an economy with opportunities for our graduates. I'm tired of seeing our highly skilled and motivated students leave for opportunities in other cities. let's create a diversified economy that our graduates want to be a part of.

RELIABLE & CLEAN WATER SUPPLY
Corpus Christi needs more water. I'm calling for an "all of the above" response to provide clean, reliable water for generations to come.

I believe desalination efforts provide a promising source of clean water, and I will work with the Port and industry representatives to choose a location with the least environmental impact and protects our coastal way of life. We need to ensure that our citizens have the water they need and that industry should pay its fair share for water usage.

The city has failed to maintain its current water facilities and the Mary Rhodes Pipeline is in desperate need of repair. There is no excuse for this, and it is a top priority of mine to urgently address these repairs.

Lastly, Corpus Christi should be examining all water resources including groundwater, wastewater reuse, water storage, and even water conservation efforts that should apply to both citizens and industry alike in case of drought.

STREETS & INFRASTRUCTURE: PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
Tired of hitting potholes? Me, too!

Not only do we need to address basic road repairs, but we must develop a long-range plan for our city’s infrastructure, including water and drainage systems. Too often we spend money on new studies year after year, instead of developing and sticking with a long-range plan. I’m leading the charge for a proactive plan that will meet the needs of our neighborhoods while remaining fiscally responsible.

WORKING WITH OTHERS TO GET THINGS DONE
I have served Corpus Christi for the past nine years on City Council, working with everyone to make our city an even better place to call home. We have some important issues facing us in the years to come, and I will bring people together to tackle these issues head-on. I am determined to rebuild relationships with other government entities and our business community to move our city forward. Nothing is out of our reach when we come together.
